The General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God,Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has adviced the federal government of Nigeria to move fast and diplomatically so as to douse the rising tension between the United States of America and Nigeria on the statement made by President Donald Trump over insecurity issues in the country.

President Trump had described Nigeria as a country of particular concern with a warning that if nothing is done to stop alleged genocide against Christians by terrorists the United States might be forced to strike and eliminate the terrorists directly.

Speaking to his congregation members after the November Holy Ghost service, Pastor Enoch Adeboye said though he is not speaking the mind of the Christian Association of Nigeria ( CAN) but speaking to his spiritual children said the issues raised by the American president deserves to be given urgent attention.

In his words ,the highly revered cleric with a massive pentecostal followership members spread across 198 nations across the globe said “My little advice for the government is for them to move fast, move diplomatically and move wisely so as to address the issues that are of utmost importance to Nigeria and the international communities”

He noted that people should not be deceived that If America follows through the plan to go to war against the terrorists that other foreign powers might come to the aid of Nigeria. He went further” If America declare war against Nigeria, the best the foreign powers will do is to condemn the war declaration in strongest terms and nothing else will happen beyond that.”

He suggests that president Bola Tinubu should give a command to the newly appointed service chiefs to get rid of the terrorists and their sponsors within 90 days or in the alternative resign. This he said should be the next line of action after the federal government would have pleaded with the United States to give her 100 days to sort out the problem.

Pastor Adeboye lamented that before now Muslims and Christians in Nigeria had always lived together in peace and harmony before those he called religious extremists brought what led Nigeria to her present pathetic situation that had cost the nation loss of innocent lives.

Pastor Adeboye who said he has Muslims in his own family went philosophical that it is certain that the time has come when Nigeria will begin to witness the dawn of a new peace era among all the citizens irrespective of religion or tribal affiliations. If everyone is on the same page on the matters at hand .
