In an exclusive interview with Crude Reports magazine at his number 4,Arowojobe St,College bustop, Lasu Road,igando Lagos,Sheikh Ahmed Arikoserere disclosed that he ventured into establishing Schools because of his strong love for education right from his childhood days.” I love education so much and my desire has always been for every child ,boy or girl to be educated because education is the master key to success in everything”
Everything that becomes big often starts small.The journey into the educational terrain started with the establishment of ARIKOSERERE primary school in 2009 with 25 pupils and 5 Teaching staff.
By 2015,so much progress has been made and the school.was presenting students for school learning certificate and Basic education certificate examination, BECE.
The much expected breakthrough came for the school in 2019 when it was granted approval by the lagos state ministry of education at Alausa,Ikeja to upgrade to a college and approval to register students for WAEC examination.
The beautiful Architectural design and solid structure of ARIKOSERERE college located at no 4 &6 ,Tope oluwa seun Street, off chairman Street, Celestial Road,Igando, Egan under Alimosho local government area is a testimony of the inner workings of the proprietor Sheikh Ahmed Arikoserere to showcase excellence.
Built on a two plot land ,the U shaped building consists of 8 classrooms for over 200 students spread into Jss1-3 and SS1-3 classes,
a staff office, Administrative office, Principal’s office, a Library, medical healing bay and Table Tennis to cater for sporting needs.
The college also has well equipped laboratories for Physics, Biology, Chemistry,Home economics,Basic Tech ,Arts studio as well.as Boarding hostels for willing students.
Asked to comment on the future of the ARIKOSERERE schools,Sheikh Ahmed said” I want the college to be the best and set good examples for all schools in Nigeria.At a bigger level,I plan to establish a well structured, funded and well equipped University that will become a role model for academic excellence and good examples that will be irresistible to be followed”
