The Ondo South representative at the red chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Dayo Faduyile has disowned a fake social handle being operated by a scammer with the sole aim of deceiving public members concerning non existent Abuja contracts so as to defraud them.
The yet to be identified online scammer plans to generate letters and text messages and send such to many unsuspecting public members, using the name of Senator Faduyile and ask them to show interest and bid for Abuja contracts and thereby dupe such people of their hard earned money.
In an official statement of Disclaimer made available to the press on Tuesday in Akure by his media Aide, Steve Ovirih, Senator Faduyile said he is dissociating himself completely from what he described as “Such a grand scheme aimed at causing huge financial loss and emotional trauma to the people, adding that the office of Ondo South senator in Abuja will not at any time stoop so low as to reach out to individuals for any contract in Nigeria”
Prof. Faduyile explains that the responsibility of a federal law maker is to make laws as well as carry out other important legislative functions as spelt out by the Nigerian constitution and not to advertise contracts for individuals or corporate organisations.
While appealing to members of the public to discountenance such texts or messages, Senator Faduyile assured that proper machinery will be put in place to fish out such an unscrupulous person behind that grand deception scheme.
