Senator Dayo Faduyile has expressed shock over the sudden passing away of the first Ondo South representative ,Senator Samuel Omololu Meroyi.The news of his death in Akure was announced on Wednesday morning .
In an official statement of condolence,Senator Faduyile recalled that as one of the pioneer Legislators of the 4th Republic, Senator meroyi served with consumate passion and left an indelible mark that will for long be remembered by the people of Ondo South and Nigeria as a whole.

While praying that God grants the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,Senator Faduyile noted that though the late statesman is gone,his ideals will live on in the hearts of the people, as a politician with strong advocacy on good governance, environmental preservation,democratic values as well as constituency development .
Before his election as a Senator under the platform of Alliance for Democracy ( AD) between 1999 and 2003,Senator Omololu meroyi once served as a member of the House of Representatives during the second Republic on the ticket of the unity party of Nigeria ( UPN).
