The Ondo South senator, Prof Dayo Faduyile has described the former clerk of the National Assembly, Asiwaju Yomi Ogunyomi as “a Statesman, an institutional memory of the legislature and a proud son of Ilajeland in Ondo state whose life of service continues to inspire generations”.
Senator Faduyile made this remark in an official congratulatory message sent to Prince Ogunyomi who clocks 76, noting that his tenure was marked by professionalism, integrity and dedication to democratic ideals”.
The senator praised the celebrant’s contributions to the development of the Ilaje nation and Ondo state at large, adding that his royal leadership has continued to promote unity and progress among his people with a call on younger Nigerians to emulate Ogunyomi’s commitment to public service, discipline and community development.
Faduyile recalled that Prince Yomi Ogunyomi is a veteran Nigerian parliamentary administrator and one of the experienced technocrats who advocated for an autonomous institutional structure to manage the careers of National Assembly staff.
Prof Faduyile prayed that in his new age at 76, God grants him enough wisdom, divine health, grace and long life to serve his people of Ondo state and Nigeria as a whole.
While at the National Assembly, Prince Yomi Ogunyomi served in various capacities like, clerk of the House of Representatives, clerk of the senate, Deputy clerk to the National Assembly before serving as the clerk to the National Assembly.
