The official commissioning and dedication of mercy medical Centre in Osi Ekiti has opened a new chapter in the community’s quest for accessible healthcare with senator Dayo Faduyile calling for Universal health care insurance to ensure that the availability of medical facilities translates into affordable healthcare for the people of Osi.

In an official statement made available to Newsmen, Faduyile, a professor of pathology and Forensic medicine made the appeal at the dedication of the facility stressing the need for a health care system in. which residents are not forced to delay treatment or face financial hardship because of medical expenses.

While commending the owners of Mercy medical Centre, Bishop Sunday and Princess Victoria Olayinka for their great and rewarding investment in the highly beneficial facility, Faduyile implored the residents not to see the mercy medical centre as the end of the healthcare journey in Osi Ekiti but rather see it as the beginning of a new chapter, one in which community Phillantrophy provides the infrastructure, government provides the policy framework while the health insurance provides financial protection to enable the people receive the healthcare they deserve.
