The Nigerian Ambassador to Russia, Joseph Olusola Iji is 70 years old today, Saturday, November 7, 2026. While celebrating the Politician, Labour leader and Lawyer, Senator Dayo Faduyile described him as a shinning star that God ordained for Ondo state in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
In an official statement released to the press, Faduyile said a close look at Ambassador Olusola iji’s life shows a man who is irrevocably committed to steady, consistent and progressive developmental efforts for his immediate community, state and Nigeria at large.
In the words of the Ondo South representative, Ambassador Olusola Iji in the past 70 years has demonstrated an unusual life style that represents “growth, experience, maturity and unbroken support for community development of his people in Ondo state and Nigeria as a whole”
Professor Faduyile noted that Ambassador Olusola iji has every cause to be thankful to God for His faithfulness to him in his career, public service and now at an international assignment as a Diplomat.
Faduyile prayed that God will grant Ambassador Olusola iji more glorious years ahead in sound health, uncommon wisdom and grace to march forward in his ordained journey to serve humanity and fulfil his purpose in life.
Born in Igbobini in Ese Odo local government of Ondo state, Ambassador Olusola Iji is a man of many parts. A former Labour leader and former chairman of Alliance for Democracy AD and later ACN of Ondo state. He is also a lawyer before his public service career catapulted him to the international realm as a Diplomat.
